We try really hard to minimise the level of disruption that may occur when expanding and renewing our campus, but sometimes, for example, we have to close specific areas or divert footpaths to carry out necessary work safely, and as quickly as possible.

Keep up to date with current works so you can better plan your journey to, from and around campus.

Church Lane Building, development of engineering workshop - Late October to May 2024

Work on the annex at the Church Lane building to expand the workshop for the Engineering department will begin on Monday 23 October. The work is expected to last around six months. Refurbishment work, Ron Cooke Hub - October to late May 2024

Work to bring together some of the departments of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies (ACT) will start in the Ron Cooke Hub on Monday 23 October 2023. The refurbishment will take place inside the building only; impact on surrounding buildings and services should be minimal. The building (including the cafe and reception area) will, in general, be closed to staff and students.
