Students attend Phi Beta Lambda national leadership conference

Students from 甜瓜视频app鈥檚 chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently attended a national leadership conference and received awards for their knowledge in business.
Students Audrey Mullins, Brianna Weaver, Jonathan Holden and Townsend Lenihan participated in leadership development seminars and competed in nearly 50 business areas. Accompanying the students were Bryant Barnett, executive director of WCU residential living and chapter adviser, and Shannon McConnell, a senior financial services representative with First Citizens Bank and chapter mentor.
Phi Beta Lambda is a nationwide organization that develops and prepares college students to become community-minded business leaders. The organization hosts an annual national academic competition for chapter members who have placed first or second in home state competition. Holden placed third in 鈥淓ntrepreneurship Concepts,鈥� while Lenihan was third in 鈥淢arketing Concepts.鈥� Weaver was selected to perform the national anthem during the opening ceremony.
Holden also competed in 鈥淔inancial Analysis and Decision Making,鈥� making it to the final round. 鈥淎lthough I didn鈥檛 place in the top 10 in this event, I will take the judges鈥� feedback as a professional development opportunity to better myself,鈥� said Holden.
