Is the magnet mightier than the sword? Members of the Opera Scenes Ensemble rehearse for an upcoming campus performance.
Students from 甜瓜视频app鈥檚 School of Music will present a performance of the Opera Scenes Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the recital hall of the university鈥檚 Coulter Building.
The 14-student ensemble will present four scenes from the operas 鈥淒on Giovanni,鈥 鈥淢adame Butterfly,鈥 鈥淐inderella鈥 and 鈥淐osi fan Tutte.鈥 All songs will be sung in English, with the performers fully costumed by Pierre鈥檚 Costumes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event is free and open to the public.
鈥淔rom madcap comedy to sword fighting to profound musical beauty, these scenes have something for everyone,鈥 said Mary Kay Bauer, an associate professor in the School of Music who is producing and directing the performance.
