As a transfer student new to Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵapp, we recognize that you are ready to build upon your existing foundation and already possess a range of experiences and unique perspectives framed by prior educational opportunities. We are excited for you to pursue your Bachelors Degree with us at WCU!

Students who attended a North Carolina Community College (NCCC) will find details below about how the equivalencies and credits from your North Carolina Community College (NCCC) will apply to your studies here at WCU.

Students who attended a non-North Carolina Community College will also find important information below, but are advised to use our .  Specific transfer credit questions should be submitted by email to registrar@wcu.edu .

Previously earned credits:

WCU only accepts credit for college-level courses passed with a grade of "C" or better.

To be awarded a bachelor's degree, the student must complete a minimum of 120 semester hours to a maximum of 128 semester hours under requirements outlined for one of the degree programs.  Programs at Western Carolina include the following areas:

• Major Requirements
  • WCU Academic Degree Programs
• Liberal Studies Program
• General Electives
• Concentrations and/or Minors (Not always a Requirement)
